This lecture will present examples of built collective housing and the process of design related to the development of these buildings. The buildings range in their location and include sites in the United States, North America, and South America. In addition, examples of design and architecture at a smaller scale that focus on communities supporting artists, the arts, and art education will be presented. These buildings range from schools to studios. Work also includes projects presented in museums and galleries that are physical models to books. The work includes books and buildings. Some of the buildings include books, and some of the books include buildings. Questions about architectural representation are emphasized throughout the lecture and work to reflect on the role of digital and analog creative interpretations for an unconventional design practices.
