The AIA East Tennessee Summer Volleyball League is a co ed league and the participants are limited to official members of one’s firm and/or ‘significant others’ – husband, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, etc. Please no recruiting from UT club teams or Knoxville city leagues! If there are no females in your office or significant others that want to play, you may field a team with five males. Six or seven participants may be fielded, but a minimum of one female must be on the court at all times. For additional guidelines, see league rules here.
If you are interested in playing this year but don’t have enough people for a full team, don’t be left out! Contact Eric Bowen at [email protected] – one of the more ‘At Large’ teams will be organized as necessary.
This year each team will be required to submit the ‘League Entry Form’ attached. The submitted forms will be reviewed by the Captains Committee for approval to participate in the league for the season.
Two release forms are required of EACH player—one for AIA East Tennessee and one for the University of Tennessee. These are located below. PLEASE DO NOT COPY THESE FORMS FRONT/BACK AS EACH IS STORED IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION. Nets and volleyballs are available at any time prior to the season start or during the season for team use. The fields at Cherokee Farm will only be available for league match nights, so suitable practice locations will be the responsibility of the teams.
Submit payment electronically at the end of the submission form or bring a check (payable to AIA East Tennessee with “Volleyball League” in the memo section) to the Captain’s Meeting. The league schedule will be developed in the week between the Captain’s Meeting and the first match and will be distributed to team captains.
If you will be attending the Captains’ Meeting pleas send an email to Eric Bowen at [email protected] so we can get an early count on the number of nets we will need this year. Contact the same email with any additional questions.
